Getting There

Kibale National Park is easily accessible from Kampala or Entebbe.

By road, the journey takes approximately 4 – 5 hours via Fort Portal, offering scenic views of tea plantations and the Rwenzori Mountains.

By air, scheduled domestic flights operate from Entebbe International Airport to Kasese Airstrip, followed by a 1.5–2 hour transfer to the park ideal for luxury and time-saving travel.

June – September

Peak travel season

June – September and December – February (dry seasons, best for chimp trekking and forest walks). March – May and October – November offer lush scenery and fewer visitors but with increased rainfall.
Weather & Climate: Kibale has a tropical rainforest climate with moderate temperatures and frequent rainfall. Temperatures typically range between 14°C and 27°C, making it comfortable for trekking year-round.
