The best time is during the dry seasons (June to September and
December to February) for optimal wildlife viewing. However, Uganda's parks are beautiful year-round, and we
can advise based on your preferences.
We partner with a range of carefully selected lodges and camps,
from comfortable mid-range options to luxurious high-end resorts, all chosen for their quality, location,
and commitment to sustainable tourism.
Most of our safari packages include full board meals (breakfast,
lunch, and dinner) during your trip. Specific details on meal inclusions will be clearly outlined in your
chosen itinerary.
Most visitors to Uganda require a visa. It's advisable to obtain
an eVisa online before your travel. Requirements can change, so we recommend checking the latest information
from the Ugandan immigration department or your local embassy well in advance.
Our guides are trained in first aid, and we have emergency
response protocols in place. We highly recommend comprehensive travel insurance that includes medical
evacuation. In severe cases, evacuation to the nearest medical facility or even Kampala will be arranged.
It is generally not recommended to drink tap water in Uganda. We
provide complimentary bottled water during your safari, and most lodges offer safe, filtered water.
We use custom-built 4x4 safari vehicles (e.g., Toyota Land Cruisers)
with pop-up roofs for optimal game viewing and photography. All vehicles are regularly serviced and equipped
with charging points and a cooler box.
Yes, for itineraries that include gorilla or chimpanzee trekking,
the necessary permits are typically included in the total package price. This will be explicitly stated in
your
detailed itinerary and quotation.
Our safaris often run with small, intimate groups (typically 2-7
people per vehicle) to ensure a personalized experience. Private safaris are also available upon request.
The local currency is the Ugandan Shilling (UGX). US Dollars are
widely accepted, especially for tourist services. Credit cards are accepted in major hotels and larger shops,
but cash is preferred for smaller purchases and tips. ATMs are available in larger towns.
Tipping is customary and much appreciated for good service. For
guides,
a common guideline is $15-20 USD per person per day. For lodge staff, a communal tip box is often available.
These are just guidelines, and tipping is always at your discretion.
Most lodges and camps offer Wi-Fi, though it might be limited or
slower than what you're used to, especially in remote areas. Mobile data can be purchased with a local SIM
card for better connectivity on the go.
English is the official language and widely spoken in tourist
areas. Luganda is the most common local language, and there are many other indigenous languages spoken across
the country. Our guides are fluent in English.
