Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your booking and participation in tours operated by Enjobe Safaris ("we," "us," or "our"). By making a booking, you accept these Terms in full.

1. Booking and Payment

Booking Process

A 30% deposit is required to confirm your booking
A 100% deposit for gorilla and chimpanzee trekking permits is required for confirmation.
Full payment must be received 14 days before departure
Bookings made within 14 days of departure require full payment
All prices are in US Dollars unless otherwise specified

Important: Please include your booking reference number in the payment description. Kindly email your payment receipt to info@enjobesafaris.com for confirmation. Bank transfers may take 3-5 business days to process.

2. Cancellation Policy

We understand that travel plans can change. To be fair to both our guests and our operational commitments, the following cancellation terms apply. Please note the special calculation method for refunds:

Refund Calculation Method: Permits (gorilla, chimpanzee, and other park permits) are non-refundable once purchased. Refunds are calculated on the remaining balance after deducting permit fees from the total amount paid.

Important Notes:

• Gorilla, chimpanzee permit fees and other park entry permits are 100% non-refundable once purchased
• The cancellation timeline is based on the departure date of your tour
• All cancellation requests must be made in writing to info@enjobesafaris.com
• Refunds will be processed using the original payment method

3. Changes and Amendments

Client-Requested Changes

Date changes: $50 administration fee + any cost differences
Itinerary changes: Subject to availability and additional costs
Participant changes: $100 administration fee per change
All changes must be requested in writing

Operator-Initiated Changes

We reserve the right to modify itineraries due to safety concerns
Alternative arrangements of equal value will be provided
If we cancel a tour, full refund will be provided
Force majeure events may result in itinerary changes

4. Health and Safety

Health Requirements

Yellow fever vaccination certificate required
COVID-19 vaccination or negative test may be required
Travel insurance with medical evacuation is mandatory
Consult your doctor about malaria prophylaxis

Safety Guidelines

Follow guide instructions at all times during activities
Stay within designated areas during wildlife encounters
Maintain safe distance from animals (minimum 7 meters)
No smoking during game drives or in wildlife areas

5. Liability and Insurance

Our Liability

We are not liable for:

Loss or damage to personal belongings
Delays or cancellations due to weather conditions
Changes caused by political unrest or natural disasters
Personal injury resulting from client negligence

Required Insurance

All clients are advised to have comprehensive travel insurance covering:

Medical expenses and emergency evacuation
Trip cancellation and interruption
Lost baggage and personal effects
Personal liability

6. Gorilla Trekking Specific Terms

Permit Terms

Permits are non-transferable and non-refundable
Permits are issued by Uganda Wildlife Authority
Name changes require new permit purchase
Permit availability is not guaranteed until confirmed

Trekking Rules

Maximum 8 visitors per gorilla group per day
Minimum age: 15 years
Maximum 1 hour with gorillas
7-meter minimum distance from gorillas

7. Force Majeure

We are not liable for failure to perform our obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

Natural Disasters

Political Unrest

Pandemics

In such cases, we will offer alternative arrangements or credit for future travel.

8. Complaints and Disputes

Complaint Procedure

Report issue immediately to your guide
Submit written complaint within 7 days of tour end
We will acknowledge receipt within 24 hours
Resolution offered within 14 days

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes shall be governed by Ugandan law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Kampala, Uganda.

9. Privacy and Data Protection

We handle your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws, including GDPR. By booking with us, you consent to our use of your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

10. General Provisions

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with your booking confirmation and itinerary, constitute the entire agreement between us.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

Amendments

We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on our website.
