TERMS AND CONDITIONS

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your booking and participation in tours operated by Enjobe Safaris ("we," "us," or "our"). By making a booking, you accept these Terms in full.

 

1.   Booking

A 40% deposit is required to confirm your booking.

 

A 100% deposit for gorilla and chimpanzee trekking permits is required for confirmation.

 

Full payment must be received 14 days before departure.

 

Bookings made within 14 days of departure require full payment.

 

All prices are in US Dollars (USD) unless otherwise specified.

 

2.   Payment

We accept the following payment methods:

·       Credit Card

·       Bank Transfer

·       Wire Transfer

Important: Please include your booking reference number in the payment description. Kindly email your payment receipt to info@enjobesafaris.com for confirmation. Bank transfers may take 3 to 5 business days to process.

 

3.   Cancellation Policy

We understand that travel plans can change. To be fair to both our guests and our operational commitments, the following cancellation terms apply.

 

Refund Calculation Method: Gorilla permits, chimpanzee permits, and other park permits are non-refundable once purchased. Refunds are calculated on the remaining balance after deducting permit fees from the total amount paid.

Note: Refundable balance = Total amount paid minus non - refundable permit fees.

 

Important Notes

·       Gorilla, chimpanzee, and other park permit fees are 100% non-refundable once purchased.

·       The cancellation timeline is based on the departure date of your tour.

·       All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to info@enjobesafaris.com

·       Refunds will be processed using the original payment method.

4.   Changes and Amendments

a)   Client-Requested Changes

Date changes: USD 50 administration fee plus any applicable cost differences.

 

Itinerary changes: Subject to availability and additional costs

 

Participant changes: USD 100 administration fee per change plus any applicable cost difference

 

All change requests must be submitted in writing through email to info@enjobesafaris.com

 

b)  Operator-Initiated Changes

We reserve the right to modify itineraries due to safety concerns or unforeseen circumstances.

 

Alternative arrangements of equal value will be provided whenever possible. If we cancel a tour, a full refund will be provided.

Force majeure events may result in itinerary changes.

 

5.   Health and Safety

a)   Health Requirements

Yellow fever vaccination certificate is required.

 

COVID-19 vaccination or a negative test may be required depending on destination regulations.

 

Comprehensive travel insurance with medical evacuation coverage is strongly recommended.

 

Consult your doctor regarding malaria prophylaxis before traveling.

 

b)  Safety Guidelines

Follow your guide's instructions at all times.

 

Stay within designated areas during wildlife encounters.

 

Maintain a minimum distance of 7 meters from wildlife, especially gorillas.

 

Smoking is prohibited during game drives and in protected wildlife areas.

 

6.   Liability and Insurance     

a) Our Liability

Enjobe Safaris shall not be liable for:

·       Loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings.

·       Delays or cancellations caused by weather conditions.

·       Changes resulting from political unrest, natural disasters, or government restrictions.

·       Personal injury arising from a client's negligence or failure to follow guide instructions.

 

 

b)   Travel Insurance

All guests are strongly advised to obtain comprehensive travel insurance covering:

·       Medical expenses and emergency evacuation.

·       Trip cancellation and interruption.

·       Lost baggage and personal effects.

·       Personal liability.

7.   Gorilla Trekking Specific Terms

a)   Permit Terms

Gorilla permits are non-transferable and non-refundable.

 

Permits are issued by the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA).

 

Name changes require the purchase of a new permit.

 

Permit availability is not guaranteed until officially confirmed.

 

A permit is only valid for the date specified during purchase, date changes are not allowed as per the Uganda Wildlife Authority policy

 

b)  Trekking Rules

 

Maximum of 8 visitors per gorilla group per day.

 

Minimum trekking age is 15 years.

 

Maximum viewing time with gorillas is 1 hour.

 

A minimum distance of 7 meters from the gorillas must always be maintained.

 

 

 

8.   Force Majeure

 

Enjobe Safaris shall not be held liable for failure to perform its obligations due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:

·       Natural disasters.

·       Political unrest.

·       Pandemics.

·       Government restrictions.

·       Civil disturbances.

In such situations, we will make every reasonable effort to provide alternative travel arrangements or issue travel credit for future bookings where applicable.

 

9.  Complaints and Disputes

a)   Complaint Procedure

In case of any issue during your safari/trip, report immediately to your tour guide.

Submit a written complaint via email to info@enjobesafaris.com within 7 days after the completion of your tour.

We will acknowledge receipt within 24 hours.

A formal resolution will be provided within 14 days.

 

b)  Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Uganda. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kampala, Uganda.

 

10. Privacy and Data Protection

We handle your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and all applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), where applicable. By booking with Enjobe Safaris, you consent to the collection and use of your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.

 

11. General Provisions

a)   Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with your booking confirmation and itinerary, constitute the entire agreement between you and Enjobe Safaris.

 

b)  Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

 

c)   Amendments

Enjobe Safaris reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Updated versions will be published on our official website.
