The Journey

Day 1

Arrival at Entebbe and Transfer to Lodge.

Your Ugandan safari begins the moment you arrive at Entebbe International Airport, where a professional English-speaking driver-guide from Enjobe Safaris will be waiting to welcome you with a personalized sign. After a brief introduction and assistance with your luggage, you’ll be escorted to your private safari vehicle for a smooth and comfortable transfer. You’ll then drive to your selected accommodation in Entebbe or Kampala, passing scenic views and getting your first feel of Uganda’s atmosphere. Upon arrival, you’ll check in, freshen up, and unwind in a calm, welcoming environment. Depending on your arrival time, meals (lunch, dinner, and breakfast) will be provided, giving you time to relax and recover from your journey. The rest of the evening is at leisure perfect for resting and preparing for the adventure ahead.

Day 2

Transfer to Murchison Falls NP via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

After an early breakfast, you’ll depart Kampala or Entebbe and begin your journey north toward Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest and most diverse wildlife reserve. The drive takes you through vibrant towns, local markets, and rural countryside, offering an authentic glimpse into everyday Ugandan life. Along the way, you’ll make a memorable stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the only place in Uganda where you can track rhinos in the wild. Accompanied by experienced rangers, you’ll enjoy a guided walking safari through the bush, coming face-to-face with these magnificent animals in a safe and controlled environment.

After this unique encounter, you’ll continue your journey with a lunch stop in Masindi town before proceeding to the park. Upon entering Murchison Falls National Park, you may visit the top of the falls, where the Nile River forces itself through a narrow gorge, creating a powerful and dramatic cascade. This viewpoint offers incredible photo opportunities and a true sense of the Nile’s strength. You’ll then proceed to your lodge, check in, and relax as you take in the sounds and atmosphere of the African wilderness. The evening is spent at leisure, followed by dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3

Game Drive & Nile Boat Safari – The Full Murchison Experience

Today offers a full immersion into the wildlife and landscapes of Murchison Falls National Park. You’ll begin with an early morning game drive across the northern sector of the park, when wildlife is most active. As the sun rises over the savannah, you’ll have the chance to spot a variety of animals including elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, and several species of antelope such as Uganda kob and hartebeest. With a bit of luck, you may also encounter elusive predators like leopards and hyenas. Your guide will share insights about the ecosystem, animal behavior, and the park’s unique biodiversity throughout the drive.

After the game drive, you’ll return to the lodge for relaxation and lunch. In the afternoon, you’ll head out for one of the safari’s highlights a boat cruise along the Victoria Nile toward the base of Murchison Falls. This scenic journey brings you up close to large pods of hippos, Nile crocodiles basking along the banks, and a wide range of birdlife including African fish eagles and kingfishers. You’ll also see elephants and buffaloes gathering at the river to drink and cool off. As you approach the falls, the sight and sound of the Nile crashing through the narrow gorge creates a truly unforgettable experience.

After the cruise, you’ll return to your lodge for dinner and a relaxed evening. For those seeking a bit more adventure, an optional hike to the top of the falls can be arranged for breathtaking views and photography.

Day 4

Return to Kampala/Entebbe

On your final day, enjoy a relaxed breakfast at the lodge before beginning your return journey to Kampala or Entebbe. You’ll exit the park and drive through the scenic countryside once more, with a stop in Masindi or along the way for lunch. The journey offers a final opportunity to take in Uganda’s landscapes, from open savannah to rolling farmland and bustling roadside communities.

Depending on your travel plans, you will be dropped off either at your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe or transferred directly to Entebbe International Airport for your onward flight. As your safari comes to an end, you leave with lasting memories of incredible wildlife encounters, powerful landscapes, and the warm spirit of Uganda the Pearl of Africa.
