Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer from Kampala/Entebbe to Kibale National Park

Your adventure kicks off with a scenic drive from Kampala, crossing the Equator en route to the lush rainforests of Kibale. After settling into your lodge, you'll embark on the enchanting Bigodi Swamp Walk. Guided along boardwalks through this community-run wetland sanctuary, you'll spot vibrant birds like the Great Blue Turaco and primates swinging in the canopy. This immersive introduction sets the tone for your wilderness journey, ending with a serene evening listening to the forest's symphony from your lodge.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking and Transfer to Semuliki National Park

Today brings the highlight: tracking our closest relatives in Kibale Forest. After an early briefing, you’ll venture into the dense jungle, following pant-hoots until you find a chimpanzee community. Watch them feed, play, and groom from mere meters away during your guaranteed hour. After lunch, we journey east to the remote Semuliki National Park, a biological crossroads. You'll arrive at a rustic lodge for a night deep in the ancient Ituri Forest, surrounded by the sounds of true, untouched Africa.

Day 3: Semuliki Nature Walk, Hot Springs Visit and Transfer to Toro-Semliki

Awaken in a birdwatcher's paradise! Your morning Nature Walk along the Kirumia Trail immerses you in one of Africa's oldest forests, with your guide pointing out some of Semuliki's 440+ bird species. The trail leads to the park's geological marvel: the Sempaya Hot Springs. Witness the powerful "Male" geyser and boil plantains in the bubbling "Female" spring. After lunch, a short transfer brings you to the vast savannah plains of Toro-Semliki Wildlife Reserve, where you'll check into your lodge overlooking the wild landscape.

Day 4: Toro-Semliki Game Drive and Visit to the Lake Albert Shores

Experience the wild, open savannah on a thrilling Game Drive through Toro-Semliki. This lesser-visited reserve offers authentic safari excitement as you search for elephants, buffalo, herds of Uganda kob, and the distinctive Chandlers Mountain Reedbuck. In the afternoon, we visit the dramatic shores of Lake Albert. Soak in the breathtaking rift valley scenery, watch local fishermen, and feel the vastness of this great lake with the Blue Mountains of Congo as a backdrop—a perfect, peaceful contrast to the morning's adventure.

Day 5: Scenic Return to Kampala/Entebbe

After a final breakfast overlooking the plains, we begin our journey back to Kampala. Enjoy a relaxed drive with lunch en route, reminiscing about chimpanzees, hot springs, and savannahs. We'll ensure a timely drop-off at your Kampala hotel or Entebbe International Airport (by 5 PM), leaving you filled with unforgettable memories of Uganda's incredible wildlife and landscapes.
