Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
Your adventure begins with a scenic drive from your pickup point toward Murchison Falls National Park, approximately 390 km (6–7 hours) from Kampala/Entebbe. Along the way, make a stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for Rhino Trekking. This unforgettable experience allows you to track southern white rhinos on foot an extraordinary moment for wildlife lovers and a rare chance to get close to these magnificent animals. After lunch at Kabalega Diner, continue to Uganda’s largest and oldest conservation area. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge and head out for an evening game drive, where you may encounter elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, and even big cats preparing for their nighttime activities. Return to the lodge for a warm dinner and a peaceful overnight stay.
Day 2: Morning Game Drive, Nile Boat Cruise, Hike to the Top of the Falls
Start your day with an early-morning game drive on the northern sector of the park, when wildlife sightings are at their best. This is the perfect opportunity to look out for lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, hyenas, antelopes, and Rothschild giraffes grazing in the golden sunrise. In the afternoon, enjoy a breathtaking boat cruise along the Nile River. Watch hippos wallow, crocodiles sunbathe, and African fish eagles soar overhead. The journey leads you right to the base of the iconic Murchison Falls. From here, take on a guided hike to the top of the falls, where the Nile explodes through a narrow 7-meter gorge—creating one of the most powerful waterfalls in the world. The views and photo opportunities are incredible. Return to your lodge for dinner and relaxation.
Day 3: Return to your drop off point
After breakfast, you’ll begin the scenic drive back to Kampala or Entebbe, stopping again for lunch at a local restaurant. Reflect on your wildlife sightings, your Nile adventure, and the beauty of Murchison Falls as you conclude your safari. Drop-off will be at your preferred location.
